Syllabus Statements

These statements are provided to instructors to communicate standard information to student users. Please review the information below and select the statement that most appropriately reflects your course and exam modalities and your intended use of the Testing Center.

Face-to-Face Course (Canvas Exam) 
The Testing Center will host exams for this course at Carver 0060, Carver 0250, Gilman 2552, or Hixson-Lied 2242.  Schedule your required exam appointment in advance and adhere to the exam guidelines for scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling. Visit the Testing Center’s website for additional information on what to expect when using their facilities. The Testing Center may have modified procedures during Finals Week, so please plan accordingly.  For questions, reach out to the Testing Center team by emailing testcenterhelp@iastate.edu.

Online or Hybrid Course (Canvas Exam)

For students outside of the Ames area: You are responsible for and required to arrange for an authorized external proctor to supervise your exams in this course. Please choose a proctor who meets the Testing Center’s Off-Campus Proctoring policy, and submit your proctor approval form at least seven days before each exam. Upon approval, your proctor will receive exam instructions and will be responsible for supervising your exam session.

Online or Hybrid Course (Paper-Based Exam) 
Proctored exams are required for this course. For questions, reach out to the Testing Center team by emailing testcenterhelp@iastate.edu.

For students in the Ames area: The Testing Center does not proctor paper-based exams. Instructors are responsible for arranging a time and location to proctor it.
